4K HOME CINEMA · PROJECTOR SELECTION

4K home cinema & home theatre projectors.

Choose a projector around your room, screen size and viewing habits—not just a specification sheet. Sahej India helps homeowners plan the complete experience: projector, screen, mounting, HDMI path, sound and room treatment.

START WITH THE ROOM

How to choose the right home theatre projector.

The best 4K projector is the one that fits the screen, the room light and the intended use. A cinema room, living room and gaming setup can need very different brightness, throw distance and placement choices.

4K vs 1080p

On larger screens and closer seating, 4K can show more fine detail. Resolution is only one part of the picture: contrast, tone mapping, lens quality and room light still matter.

Laser, LED or lamp

Laser and LED light sources can offer long-life convenience and rapid start-up. Lamp models may still suit specific budgets and installations. Choose by the full projector performance, not the light source alone.

Brightness & room light

ANSI-lumen ratings help compare output, but screen size, screen gain, wall colour and ambient light determine the final image. A brighter projector is not automatically better in a dark cinema room.

INSTALLATION MATTERS

Projector placement is designed before the ceiling is closed.

Throw distance is the lens-to-screen distance needed to make a chosen image width. It differs by model and zoom setting; Sahej India confirms the exact position on site before drilling or running the final conduit.

SCREEN SIZE

100, 120, 133 and 150-inch screens each need a proportional seating distance, projector output and room layout. The screen should be chosen with the projector—not afterward.

THROW DISTANCE

Use the manufacturer’s lens throw range for the exact model. Measure from the lens, allow for mount position, and leave adjustment room for final alignment.

HDR & COLOUR

HDR performance depends on the projector, signal source, calibration and room reflections. Darker surfaces and controlled light help preserve contrast and cinematic colour.

DLP & 3LCD

DLP and 3LCD are different projection technologies. Compare the complete implementation—motion, contrast, brightness, lens, colour and your own viewing preference—rather than choosing only by panel type.

A PRACTICAL SCREEN-SIZE STARTING POINT

Build a picture that feels right from every seat.

100–110 inch

A strong starting range for many living rooms and compact cinema rooms. Final choice depends on viewing distance and how much ambient light remains.

120–133 inch

A popular immersive range for dedicated home theatres, subject to lens throw, seating distance and suitable audio/screen placement.

150 inch and above

Best planned as a complete room. Image brightness, projector placement, acoustic treatment and sight-lines become especially important.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Helpful answers before you buy.

What projector is best for a 120-inch screen?

It depends on room light, viewing preference and the available lens-to-screen distance. We check all three before recommending a model.

Do I need a screen?

A proper projection screen usually gives a more predictable image than a painted wall. Screen material should suit the projector and room light.

Can a projector work in a living room?

Yes—provided screen size, brightness, ambient light control and placement are planned together. Motorised screens can keep a multipurpose room flexible.
